Our Facilities

The Summer 2019 program will be held on a private five acre estate in Captian Cook on the Kona coast of Big Island Hawaii. The lodge includes five student suites, staff lodging, a kitchen, a dining room, a gathering lounge, a practice room for the orchestra, and outdoor tented areas for practicing or enjoying the beautiful weather.

Each student suite is made up of three rooms that share one private full bath, a mini fridge for snacks, a desk and table, a couple of lounge chairs, and the upper floor suites include spacious open air lanais (decks). The suites house 6 guests each. All the beds are very comfortable but some are slightly larger (king size) than others so priority will be given based on the order that guests are admitted into the program.

Our shared facilities also include a kitchen buffet area, a lounge area with a HD video/computer system, a beautiful view of the sunset over Kona and the ocean, not to mention a wealth of fruit trees scattered throughout the estate.

Meals and amenities

Healthy meals are provided three times a day. Breakfast is prepared daily and breakfast snacks are left out for guests that might miss the breakfast hour. Lunch is set out daily as a do-it-yourself sandwich or other pack-able lunch option. This allows us to take lunch with us out on a hike or beach break. Dinner is prepared daily and served before our evening rehearsals.

Other amenities and fun things to enjoy while taking a break from practicing your music include free wifi, a volleyball setup, evening fire-pits, an occasional movie night, and beautifully fresh island air.
