Jacob Meir Barsky, Director
Jacob Meir Barsky is a band director, music educator, ethnomusicologist, and founder of Musical Arts Camp Hawaii. He currently runs a variety of music programs in Honolulu, including concert band programs and an annual summer jazz day camp. He has also worked as a band and orchestra director abroad in Japan and performed as a principal oboist in Osaka and New York. Mr. Barsky completed his Bachelor of Music degree as a classical oboe and guitar player at the Aaron Copland School of Music and a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies at CUNY Queens College. He completed his graduate studies in ethnomusicology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
